Things were highly emotional for Los Angeles Lakers fans leading up to tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz. Not only is it the season finale in what could probably be described as the most atrocious year ever witnessed, but it is also the end of the Kobe Bryant era in L.A.
The Lakers made sure they gave the Black Mamba the greatest of goodbye’s, bringing Magic Johnson out to the court to introduce Kobe, they played a thank you and farewell tribute video on the jumbotron with messages from all the NBA greats of today, as well as one with his teammates. Then they introduced Bryant in the starting lineups for the last time and it was a standing ovation from everyone in the building.
