Kyrie Irving Reportedly Wants to Only Be a New York Knick

“Kyrie wants to come home”

Last Friday, reports surfaced that Kyrie Irving reportedly wanted to be traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers. After being linked to the Pacers in a trade, that was agreed upon in principle for Paul George, Indiana pulled out at the last second – hindering summer plans for the Cavs.

Well, Irving is looking to get off the team so bad, that he wants to return home and play for the New York Knicks. With Carmelo Anthony still wanting to get away from the disaster in NYC, LeBron has reportedly not requested players that he would like to be on the team if a deal occurs.

Yesterday, on ESPN, Pablo Torre revealed that Kyrie’s agent said his client is only interested in playing for the Knicks – contrary to previous reports of being interested in the San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat. Following 25-point-per-game season, he didn’t make any of the All-NBA teams last month, as his milestone year was overlooked.

With Kyrie, the Knicks could get a franchise superstar they will need after Melo’s inevitable exit. Let us know in the comments below if you think Kyrie will get traded to New York and have success.
