Kyrie Irving Wants to Be Traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers

Just a few days ago, Kyrie Irving sounded a little disillusioned about the Cleveland Cavaliers post-season. It seemed like it was because he dropped the bomb on Dan Gilbert a few days before all of that talk in the media. He asked for a trade and way out of the city.

It seems like he is not happy with what the team has going on at the moment and would rather play somewhere that makes him the more focal point of the offense. Plus, according to ESPN sources, he doesn’t want to play with LeBron James anymore.

King James heard about the talks between Irving and Gilbert and was disappointed with what was said. Sources say he was even blindsided at the news.

While there has been speculation of LBJ leaving this next offseason, it’s interesting that this report surfaces now, at a time where the franchise, front office and future is hanging by the balance.

At first thought, you could figure that Irving could have had inside information about LeBron leaving and doesn’t want to stay in Cleveland to see the squad return to the lottery and that’s why he wants his get out of jail free card before shit goes south. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as the season draws near.

UPDATE: Some preferred destinations for Irving include San Antonio, Miami, Minnesota and New York.
