Ya’ll missed me? LeBron is currently home after getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs against the Phoenix Suns. Remember, it just happened right? In that time, he hasn’t seemed to left media talk, which he’s not needed during the playoffs. All on the record, all in the videos, dancing.
Last year, when the NBA season was on hiatus, the Lakers were holding practices in Los Angeles. With everyone else home and out of shape, the Lakeshow returned to the bubble fully rested and game ready. Holding practices were illegal at the time, due to COVID protocols, as the King never got in trouble. This heavily benefited him and the Lakers, after they had been training together all spring.
When the NBA returned, it was at the peak of protest for unarmed black people getting shot. This including a lynching in South Florida, that happened just minutes away from the Disney bubble. Instead of cancelling the playoffs last year, he said fuck the protests insisted that it would be good for everyone if they still finished the season. There, he won the pandemic bubble ring at Disney World and was faced with the shortest turnaround in league history.
Here’s the kicker, he’s actually right about these sports companies rushing players back to action. The NFL had the most injuries in the history of their league; but the same can’t be said for the NBA. Most players returned back to action of shape and fatigued from partying the year before.
No one expected to even play in the bubble, until just weeks before the NBA officially relaunched. Now, Dr. LeBron claims he knows the body more than anyone in the league. However, with him and Anthony Davis suffering injuries throughout the season, he was forced to participate in the play-in tournament then lose in the first round.
Since the Lakers weren’t the strongest team, like they were in 2020 and he didn’t get everything his way; he’s having an episode of frustration. We’re witnessing Hulk Hogan have a heel turn before our eyes.
None of these recent injuries are from the season starting early!
Kawhi – Has had knee issues five straight seaons
Kyrie – Landed on Giannis’ foot
CP3 – COVID-19, injured by Bron (some believe injury is fake)
Harden – Showed up to camp, out of shape, on purpose, to force trade to News
