Odell Beckham Jr. Burns Patriots Defenders for 87-Yard Touchdown

OBJ with the dash!

The New York Giants have the big task of playing the undefeated New England Patriots today and possibly giving them their first loss of the season. Of course, Tom Brady and company are preventing that from happening, but not if Odell Beckham Jr. can help it.

In the first quarter, Eli Manning threw him a leading pass in coverage, but his athleticism got the better of the New England defenders and he sprinted past the safety and cornerback for an 87-yard touchdown. It should have been a 20 yard pass at best, but the defense got confused and let him get away for the breakaway score. The play was a career long for OBJ.

Beckham Jr. was held to only 4 receptions on the day, but managed 104 yards thanks to the 87-yard score. Malcolm Butler kept him in check throughout the game.

Ultimately, the Giants couldn’t finish off the undefeated Patriots in crunch time because a Stephen Gostkowski kick put the game away for New England with :01 left.

FINAL: NE 27 | NYG 26
