Can Manny pull off the unthinkable?!
We are one week away from the biggest boxing match in the history of the sport and everyone is placing their final bets and giving their last speculation on who’s going to win between Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Grantland‘s Jalen Rose sat down with Manny to talk about his humble beginnings, what this fight means to him and how he’s approaching the match.
While many fans may not know that Manny’s first love in sports was basketball, Manny ended up going with boxing as a profession. He also revealed the reason why this fight never happened five years ago, which he claims Floyd was dodging him at the time because there was more of a chance of him getting a loss at that point. So how can he get that win on May 2nd? He says that by the grace of the Lord, he will be victorious, silencing all the doubters and naysayers.
He ended it by saying that if he wins, the whole Philippines will be celebrating.
