Just when news surfaced that Paul George told close friends about him going to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 no matter what, the Indiana Pacers have traded their All Star forward to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In return, the Pacers will get Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis as pieces to complement Myles Turner for the future. Other terms of the deal have not yet been revealed, but there should be a few loose ends to work out before the deal is officially official.
Russell Westbrook and PG13, though? Wow.
At the least, the Thunder clear that Oladipo contract from the books and have some leverage for Westbrook to sign with Oklahoma City long term (if they can agree to an extension) and if PG13 walks after the season like it was reported, they clear salary cap space to go after more free agents in 2018.
