Considering the man brought them a championship to the city and a banner to the arena, they can never boo Kawhi Leonard in Toronto.
In his return to the Raptors after signing with the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason, the franchise and its fans had nothing but positive vibes for him. Before he received his championship ring, the team presented him with a video tribute, which even went as far as recreating the steps he took when he hit that last second shot. He then greeted all his old teammates and management, before putting on his ring and waving thank you to the crowd.
Of course, when it came down to playing on the court, he gave his old team that work.
Leonard finished with a solid performance of 23 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds on the night as the Clippers beat the Raptors 112-92 in The Six.
After the game, he talked about his feelings going into the game, coming back to the city and what he has inscribed in his championship ring.
