While most of the country may still be up in arms regarding this topic (although slowly coming around), Roger Goodell has made it known that he is not opposed to players using medical marijuana while recovering from concussions, or any other injury it could potentially be legal treatment for. Before he makes any official ruling, however, he wants to see more information from studies, but he has not eliminated it as a potential, and legal treatment. Read more after the jump.

This news comes in ironic timing as Seattle and Denver are both states that have legalized marijuana as a recreational use and both head to New York for the Super Bowl. Before you get too ahead of yourself, Goodell has said that the league is not close to allowing it, and the medical staff is not supporting it just yet.
“I’m not a medical expert. We will obviously follow signs. We will follow medicine and if they determine this could be a proper usage in any context, we will consider that… Our medical experts are not saying that right now.”
