Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley Go At It Again in Thunder Win

It took a little bit, but the Oklahoma City Thunder are finally finding their groove. After notching their first win of the season the other day, OKC faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers today and a man by the name of Russell Westbrook had extra motivation to get another W on the stat sheet.

With Patrick Beverley suited up in the opposite jersey, the two spent all night taunting each other, showing out and baiting to see who would get out of line.

Ultimately, it was Beverley who dove at Westbrook knees in a clear dirty play (after he went through knee surgery this past offseason) and tempers flared following. Of course, no punches were thrown like that Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo fight, but there was plenty of shit talking back and forth. Players had to be separated and technical fouls were assessed.

These two will never stop hating each other.

As far as the stat sheet, it was no competition. Russ dropped 32 points and 8 assists, while Beverley only had 4 points for the game. At one point in the third quarter, the Thunder went on a 20-0 run, going 8-8 from the field and it was a wrap for the game after that.
