Scottie Pippen Comes Clean About NBA Dunk Contest Judge’s Scores

This year’s NBA Dunk Contest ended in pure controversy, with Aaron Gordon getting snubbed once again. In an episode of ESPN’s The Jump, regular contributor Scottie Pippen was asked about what happened and he told the truth.

According to Pip, the judges had come to a consensus and had a pact to give Gordon the tie with that last score. Unfortunately, the numbers got crossed and Derrick Jones Jr. got the win by default. Scottie also said that their scores got locked out and they couldn’t be changed.

When it first happened, Dwyane Wade was blamed for being a homer and giving his fellow Miami HEAT comrade a score of 9 instead of a 10.

Pippen was not trying to say too much, but at least he admitted that it was rigged.
