Scottie Pippen Praises Carmelo Anthony & Blames Phil Jackson for Knicks

Who do you blame?

Yesterday, Scottie Pippen was guest on ESPN’s The Jump with Rachel Nichols and Tracy McGrady. While discussing the recent struggles of the Cleveland Cavaliers, he went to focus on another important issue around the league season – why the New York Knicks failed to make the playoffs.

Surprisingly, Pippen put majority blame on his former head coach Phil Jackson for not being able to land attractive talent in his three-year tenure with the team. He went to give praise to Carmelo Anthony, who he feels has been professional after numerous trade attempts; as well as being benched over the last week by coaches and the front office to evaluate younger talent.

Before closing out, he joked that Anthony shouldn’t be too mad for his public mistreatment, after receiving a great contract in 2015. Take a look at the brief clip above, as #KnicksTape fans can brace themselves for a potential top five lottery pick in the upcoming June NBA Draft.
