Before Steve Kerr went to the Bay Area and became the head coach of the Golden State Warriors, the team already had the best backcourt shooting tandem of all time with the Splash Bros. Now with Steph Curry having an MVP-season to lead Golden State to the best record in the league at the mid-way point, he’s still learning how to perfect his craft even more with the help of another legendary shooter he sees every day.
In a conversation with ESPN’s Hannah Storm, the two open up on their golf-like gentleman’s game, which Kerr has only won one of their twelve meetings together. While Steve is competitive in their private time, he’s happy to see his superstar captain on the floor shooting lights out. Whenever Curry does miss on rare occasion, Kerr jokes that he never misses in their competitive play – but we know he would rather have his star beating him in practice.
