The Brooklyn Nets Honor The Notorious B.I.G. with Barclays Center Banner

Where Brooklyn at?

This week, marked the 20th anniversary in the unfortunate death of late rapper, Christopher ‘The Notorious B.I.G.’ Wallace. The Brooklyn Nets wanted to celebrate the life and legacy the world got to witness, honoring him with an official permanent banner at Barclays Center.

Given the team’s lack of draft picks and current roster, this may be the only time fans see a meaningful banner raised. Sunday night, during their crosstown meeting with the Knicks, the team held a special Biggie Night event, as they played his music throughout the entire game.

During halftime, Biggie’s family, Diddy, Faith Evans and Lil Kim helped raise the banner, to honor Biggie to the rafters. Take a look at the video above, of Brooklyn celebrating one of their legends.
