Rudy Gay Heading To The West Coast Following Big Trade With Toronto Raptors & Sacramento Kings.

The Toronto Raptors are officially in tank mode for Andrew Wiggins, trading away their best player Rudy Gay. The Raptors acquired Gay last year through trade from the Memphis Grizzlies and thought pairing him with DeMar DeRozan would be good for the franchise, but the two have been the least efficient tandem on the court together in the entire NBA.

The Sacramento Kings trade away John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes following their recent 5th consecutive loss. Rudy now joins a young Kings core highlighted by DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore and also recently acquired former 3rd pick of the 2011 draft Derrick Williams. The Raptors are scheduled to play the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in Kobe Bryant’s official return, as Rudy Gay was notified during pre-game warm-ups to not suit up following the trade. Both teams benefit from the trade, with Toronto receiving huge cap relief for a potential top 5 pick to attract free agents this summer and the Kings adding another dynamic scorer to their team.

UPDATE: Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy included with Rudy Gay
