Will Sam Bradford save the Vikings 2016-17 Season?
Earlier in the week, the Minnesota Vikings took a big hit to their roster when their starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a dislocated knee injury and torn ACL on Tuesday. It was obvious that the Vikings were going to be desperate in to finding a replacement in hopes of saving their 2016 NFL season. With one week to go before the season officially kicks off, the NFC North team has executed a blockbuster trade with the Philadelphia Eagles that brings former No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford to the club. The Vikings had to give up two draft picks, a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-round pick in 2016, in order to secure the trade.
Many were expecting the Vikings to make a run at veteran QB Mark Sanchez as it was being reported that the Broncos had lost hope and were looking to trade or drop him. It’s too early to tell what Bradford is capable of bringing to the team, but their hope is that he’ll hold the fort down and lead them to another division title. Sam Bradford is coming off a fairly decent year in 2015 with the Eagles, tossing 19 touchdowns and throwing for 3,725 yards.
