WWE Reportedly Planning Two Monthly PPV Events for Upcoming Brand Split

Is two ppv’s a month, too much?

With the WWE finally bringing back their roster-split to ensure viewers and their long-time fans get the best overall presentation, Vince McMahon is planning to utilize his company even more.

Over the weekend, Jerry Lawler prematurely revealed details to fans that the wrestling promotion would be doing two live pay-per-views every month for each brand.

With the exception of months containing WrestleMania, SummerSlam, the Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series – the WWE increases their yearly schedule to a whopping 20 PPVs each year, resembling their friends at Ultimate Fighting Championship.

This wasn’t the first time Jerry shared news ahead of a press release from the McMahon’s, as he also confirmed last June that SmackDown would be going live and moving to Tuesdays on USA. As the company readies fans for potentially 5 hours of live programming on cable TV, as well as NXT’s hour show on the Network, this might be a little too much for the casual audience.

Let us know in the comments if you plan on investing this much time in WWE.
