Yesterday, the New York Yankees celebrated the awesome and historic career of future Hall Of Famer Mariano Rivera, by having his farewell ceremony at Yankee Stadium before their game against the San Francisco Giants. To kick off the festivities, the Yankees arranged for rock legends Metallica to perform Mo’s longtime entrance music “Enter Sandman” live as he walked onto the field.
As you might expect, it was a jaw-dropping scene which saw the entire stadium electric once they heard that first chord kick in. This ceremony culminates the year long celebration of Mariano that has been happening in every ball park he set foot into this season. Though his career is coming to an end, Mo Rivera will always be remembered as one of the best players in MLB history. Salute to him for everything he has accomplished.
