New Orleans Pelicans fans will be breathing a sigh of relief, though Zion Williamson will not be on the court to start the year.
According to ESPN, Zion has avoided a severe knee injury, but will be missing several weeks for the Pels. Though the extent of his injury has not been determined, New Orleans is being cautious with their rookie star, to make sure his injury does not get aggravated during the start of the season.
The Pelicans take on the Toronto Raptors for the debut on Tuesday.
A severe injury has been ruled out for Zion Williamson’s right knee, but he is expected to miss period of weeks to start regular season, league sources tell ESPN. Pels are clearly treating injury with an abundance of caution but there’s no shortage of confidence on full recovery.
