Meet the Xbox One Tech Series controller!
Since the release of Microsoft’s pricey Elite controller for $150, we’ve been hesitant to invest in the device – given its track record of having horrible lifespans for standard pads. However, Microsoft has introduced their new tactical styling, tech controller series, which is a bit more affordable.
While the gamepad isn’t a huge leap from the Xbox One stock model controller, it features an upgraded and textured diamond rubberized grip for added control and comfort. Along with custom button-mapping in place through settings, the controller also features improved wireless range.
The new Tech Series version of the Xbox Wireless Controllers will be available worldwide on April 25th for $69.99. Assuming the upcoming 4K Scorpio console features an all-new controller, this should be a nice alternative for the time being – at least until you upgrade to an HDR TV.
