5 Key Things to Check Out in PlayStation 4’s First Firmware Update of 2017


The full roll-out is near!

Over the weekend, we were lucky enough to be one of the few select members invited to PlayStation 4’s new 4.50 system software update. The exclusive firmware beta program, gave us an early peek at some of the new key features, which will have most using it for more than just exclusive games or a device that allows DTS surround sound support for apps (see: Netflix and HBO Go).

Before the 4.50 transition makes its way to the public, we give a glimpse at some of the key features we’ve been playing around with over the last few days. With the exception of owning a PlayStation VR headset, continue after the jump to see which new updates Sony has in store this spring.
