50 Cent to Executive Produce New Original Series “The Oath”

Besides POWER, it seems like 50 Cent is branching out and getting into more networks besides Starz. Fif is headed to the online platform Crackle for a new scripted drama show titled The Oath, which he will executive produce. A 10-episode first season has already been written and the series will be about real-life gang culture and how organizations are run, as well as how loyalty is crossed and the consequences from it.

The show was written by former L.A. Sheriff’s deputy Joe Haplin.

“I am very excited to be partnering with Sony Pictures Television Networks and Crackle. To be able to bring this story to life is something I’m looking forward to and Joe Halpin’s personal experience will make this unlike anything that’s been seen before.”

Off top, the story sounds dope, but we’ll see how well it impacts since it won’t be on a big cable network. Of course, the hope is that it will grow out of it and go to a big network.
