Chance The Rapper and Donald Glover Among TIME’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2017’

It’s about that time again. TIME magazine has just revealed its picks for the 100 Most Influential People of 2017. Alongside the likes of LeBron James, Conor McGregor, Riz Ahmed, Tom Brady and Emma Stone are two hip-hop figures, Chance The Rapper and Donald Glover. Each selection from the 100 comes with a brief article written by another famous person; for Chance, it’s Common, and for Donald Glover, it’s Tina Fey.

“Chance upends expectations about what artists, especially hip-hop artists, can do,” Common says about Chance. As for Fey on Glover, she says: “Donald is serving you best-case-scenario millennial realness. He embodies his generation’s belief that people can be whatever they want and change what it is they want, at any time.”
