Childish Gambino Discusses Comedy Transition to Hip-Hop & Music Creation Process

Donald Glover On Going From Comedy To Rap

Last night, Donald Glover was guest on CONAN to discuss his upcoming motion picture, The Martian with Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig. Throughout the brief sit-down, the Atlanta rapper opened up on whether or not it as a bad idea to transition from comedy to rap and how his parents weren’t originally behind the decision. This led to a hilarious story about his music creation process, where he was recently in the woods and came across coyote.

Normally, the wild animals like to seduce humans in a playful matter and lead them to a herd where other coyotes are waiting but Childish Gambino was lucky in the rare occurrence to keep his limbs. Watch more from the interview with Conan O’Brien, where they talk an on-location accident, which we’ll be able to see in the upcoming film.
