The first domino of characters has been revealed!
With plenty of speculation and rumors surrounding the cast of True Detective season 2, the cat is out of the bag as far as one of the protagonists goes. Colin Farrell as confirmed to Irish newspaper Sunday World about his role next season. He also revealed a little bit about the plot and where the show will be filmed with that trigger happy tongue.
“I’m so excited … I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot. I know very little about it, but we’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids.
As far as the plot, Colin had this tidbit of news:
“[It will involve] a bloody murder of a corrupt city businessman found dead the night before a major transportation deal with three police officials from different cities”
The second season will have three main leads and word is there will be a female lead role, but for now there is no word on who will play that role. At least we have confirmation on one of the three leads. Two more to go.
