Disney Reveals Official Title for ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Get ready for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens!

Last February, reports first surfaced that Star Wars: Episode VII would be begin filming for the spring. While J.J. Abrams (previously known for 2009’s Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness), will be directed the first film in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy. Walt Disney Pictures took to twitter today to reveal the official seventh film released in the series has officially been titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In conjunctions with Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions, actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and GIRLS star Adam Driver have been tapped to star in the much-anticipated sci-fi film to close out next year. While we’re still over 13 months away from its official release date of December 18, 2015, the nearly $200 million budgeted film has now been given clarity for its faithful.
