Donald Glover Announces New Adidas Partnership, Shares Short Film

Donald Glover is killing the game and it may have nothing to do with the music right now. Aside from starring in Star Wars films and his TV series Atlanta, the actor/singer now has another endeavor in his resume: a sneaker head.

Through a short film, Glover has announced a new partnership with Adidas.

For those at Coachella who managed to grab an Airdrop from the rapper himself, received his unreleased pair of his unreleased adidas originals kicks. For those who weren’t there, you can see a little of what he’s working on through the short film directed by Ibra Ake and co-stars Mo’nique and Na-Kel Smith.

His new “Donald Glover Presents” line is set to re-imagine three styles from the shoe company: the Nizza ($80), Continental 80 ($100) and Lacombe ($90). They drop April 26.

Here’s what he said about the collab:

“Rich is a concept. With this project, I wanted to encourage people to think about how their stories can be told on their feet. Value isn’t quantified by what you wear, rather the experiences from them. And you make the decision on what works for you, you live through your own lens. The partnership for me is about being able to exemplify what doing your own thing truly looks and feels like.”
