After Conor McGregor was set to appear in the new season of Game Of Thrones and those claims were refuted, the HBO show has cast another big name for the upcoming season.
Out at SXSW, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss announced that Ed Sheeran will appear on the upcoming season, after years of trying to get him on the show. It is not yet clear at what capacity Ed will be on the show for or what role, but we’ll look forward to seeing what happens. We’re sure there will be a trailer or clip that’s released before the show airs.
The new season of Game of Thrones premieres July 16 on HBO.
