FX Green-Lights ‘Outlaw’ Docuseries About 2pac and Afeni Shakur

The two may be in heaven looking down from above, but their legacy will continue to live, not only through music, but through stories by those who knew them.

Thanks to Allen Hughes, FX has green-lighted a docuseries following the life of Tupac Shakur and Afeni Shakur titled Outlaw: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur. The five-episode series will follow their lives together and individually, with the premiere date being announced in the coming months.

Afeni’s life inside the Black Panther Party certainly influenced 2pac and after his passing, she started a foundation to support kids and their interests in arts.

According to the network:

“Outlaw is an intimate wide-angle portrait of the most inspiring and dangerous mother-son duo in American history, whose unified message of freedom, equality, persecution and justice are more relevant today than ever.”

This will be a must-watch when it comes out.
