HBO Reportedly Planning Massive Delay for ‘Game of Thrones’ Final Season

Coming 2019 or 2020?

It’s no secret that the pending season for Game of Thrones is arguably the most anticipated in the history of television. However, the epic conclusion to the story may be delayed by an entire year.

This week, HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, spoke with Entertainment Weekly – hinting that Time Warner network and its series developers may wait an extra year to release the final season. Show runners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will likely take their time with the final story-line and presentation ideas, to give the fantasy-action show a proper sendoff.

Bloys went to say, “They have to write the episodes and figure out the production schedule. We’ll have a better sense of that once they get further into the writing.” He also confirmed that the multiple spinoffs are being developed right now, but said they won’t air until the original concludes.

Let us know in the comments what you think of this possible massive delay.
