Last year, HBO first revealed plans for an official live-action Watchmen TV series. Well, this week, Variety has confirmed a number of actors in key roles for the upcoming pilot.
The likes of Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, and Andrew Howard are set to appear in the series – with King playing a lead role.
Unfortunately, details on their exact characters are still unknown, as HBO has reiterated their plans of no desire to recreate the original Watchmen storyline for its major film.
With Nicole Kassell and Damon Lindelof helming their respective director and showrunner roles, look for more information on the new story HBO plans to introduce next year.
