True Detective: Words Of Wisdom From Rust Cohle
Last December, Matthew McConaughey discussed his admiration for the Rust Cohle character, and revealed he would be interested in returning to True Detective series – if HBO called him back.
Well, word got back, as fans began to pour out their request for the legendary actor to make a return. Show creator Nic Pizzolatto, took a two-year break to draw up ideas for a third season.
So much, that he’s actually penned the first two episodes for the anthology crime drama. Today, the Time Warner Inc. network announced that Emmy-winning writer-producer David Milch has joined Pizzolatto to help finish the script – and not serve as show-runner.
Following acclaim in 2014, then a sophomore slump in 2015 with fans and critics, HBO reiterated that it’s a valuable franchise – but didn’t have a third season script just yet.
With actors and writers interested to revive the series, we’re assuming a potential reveal will happen in the weeks following HBO’s Game of Thrones finale next summer.
