‘House of Cards’ to Resume Final Season Without Kevin Spacey

The sixth and final season of House of Cards will resume without Kevin Spacey, Netflix has confirmed today. Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos says the show will enter production in early 2018, with Robin Wright as the lead, and will “bring closure of the show for fans.” Unlike previous seasons, which were all made up of 13 episodes, the sixth will only include eight.

Production on the series was suspended in October following sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey, with Netflix saying that they “will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey.”
