JAY Z and The Weinstein Company announced a new TV and film deal last week. At the time, it wasn’t quite clear what the new contract would entail, but now we have a bit more clarity.
The two sides held a press conference in New York City to speak on their latest venture and revealed that they would be producing an upcoming biopic about Richard Pryor.
He is also partnering with Spike TV for a “groundbreaking” docuseries about Kalief Browder. TIME: The Kalief Browder Story is supposed to air in six parts starting in January 2017 and should change people’s minds about the criminal justice system.
We’re sure this is just the beginning for what Hov and Weinstein Co. have on the way.
