Following his release from prison on bail, Meek Mill is fulfilling his promise of shedding more light on the injustices that minorities go through every day at the hands of our justice system and has a docuseries on the way, inspired by his own experiences the past year.
Executive produced by JAY Z and Roc Nation, Amazon Studios will be broadcasting a six-part documentary series which will follow Meek’s case closely. Not only that, but fans will get an inside look at Mill’s life as he manuevers through his rap career and how his problems with the law are one of thousands of cases that go unheard of every day across the country. It will also try to uncover corruption within the Philadelphia justice system and conspiracy behind his imprisonment.
“I’m grateful for this unique opportunity to share my story, and I look forward to collaborating with Amazon Prime Video, Roc Nation and the Intellectual Property Corporation on this incredible series. Not only will this documentary give viewers an unprecedented look at my life, but it will also allow me to use my public platform to highlight the need for criminal justice reform.”
The series has no title as of yet, but it is expected to be released in 2019.
