RZA Is Developing A Wu-Tang Clan Show for HULU

After making a slight comeback thanks to Logic and his Young Sinatra IV album, Wu-Tang Clan is coming to a television set near you.

RZA is developing a new series about the Wu for HULU titled Wu-Tang: An American Stage and will be based on their story. The 10-episode show will be executive produced by RZA, Method Man, Alex Tse of SuperFly fame, Brian Grazer, and Francie Calfo. It will also be written by Tse and RZA, who will use his books (The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu) as reference.

“Set in early ’90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who strives to unite a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories.”

Other Wu members like Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA, and the Estate of Ol’ Dirty Bastard will also serve as consulting producers.

As of now, a launch date has not been set, as the series is still in production.
