“Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection” Releasing April 10th

Finally Feel the force on digital HD this Friday

With their new Disney trilogy Star Wars: The Force Awakens set to invade theaters this December, the Star Wars film series has gone digital for the first time ever. All six films of the epic saga from Lucasfilm have been packaged together in HD to create the long-awaited The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection.

Major digital streaming retailers iTunes, Google play, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox One, VUDU, nook by Barnes & Noble, Disney Movies Anywhere, Cineplex Store and M-GO will have day-one purchase exclusivity. 20th Century Fox and Disney haven’t revealed pricing yet for the collection, but individual purchases of each film will also be an option for consumers looking to have an on-demand ready lifetime experience.

Unfortunately, the original untouched theatrical releases of The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and A New Hope didn’t make the cut for this HD expansion but you can get a look at the entire break down of the complete list of bonus materials that are included (some may vary by retailer).
