Take a Look at Kanye West’s Jesus Statue in Hollywood

Jesus Walks….God show me the way, because the Devil’s tryin’ to break me down!

If you’ve been around the Hollywood Blvd area in Southern California lately, you may have seen a gold Kanye West/Jesus statue posted up with a “False Idols” title on the bottom. The life-size gold sculpture shows ‘Ye crucified with nails in his hands, a crown of thorns and rocking Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers. Though it doesn’t place him on a cross, his arms are outstretched as if he were.

The art piece was made by L.A. street artist Plastic Jesus, who has a real affinity for Yeezy. Currently, it is at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea Avenue and tomorrow, it will appear at his Anesthesia: The Art of Oblivion exhibition. The showcase will be open to the public on Saturday February 25 at Gibson Brands Sunset in West Hollywood.

Kanye West has not commented on the piece yet.
