If you’re still in love with AMC’s acclaimed series, The Walking Dead, you have to be excited for the next season. It looks like season eight will be taking a leap forward in time, much like in the comics. But if you haven’t read the comics, you might be a little confused. The trailer doesn’t dig too deep into it, so you’ll just have to wait for the new season to premiere in a few months.
As far as the rest of the trailer, AMC debuted it at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday and in it the intense five minute long clip, it starts with Negan speaking to Father Gabriel. It then takes a turn and features familiar faces from the Alexandria, the Hilltop, and the Kingdom groups preparing for what we only expect to be an all-out war against Negan and the Saviors.
It all comes together with some encouraging words from Rick. Before we see the groups taking a stand and joining forces with hopes to, in the words of King Ezekiel, “reshape the world.”
Watch the trailer for Season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead below and look for it to premiere at its regular time on October 22nd.
