Warner Bros. Has Reportedly Found Their Ben Affleck Replacement for Batman

Jake Gyllenhaal?

With Justice League hitting theaters this weekend, the DCEU film is coming below its initial target of box office revenue – to the point of actually becoming a flop.

While Warner Bros. also faces internal anxiety about producers and actors being caught up in the endless sexual harassment witch-hunt of 2017, the company is looking to replace Ben Affleck.

After not being able to have his vision told in the upcoming solo Dark Knight film, including having his director-producer and writer credits taken; warner is looking to recast the role.

This week, rumors emerged that now DCEU director Matt Reeves has his eyes on Jake Gyllenhaal to play the caped crusader. At the moment, Affleck wants to have a “cool” exit away from the franchise, but he may not get his wishes if Justice League bombs at the box offices this holiday.
