Warner Bros. Reportedly Delaying ‘Suicide Squad 2’ for Will Smith

Coming Holiday 2019. . .

After revealing why Gotham City Sirens is coming to theaters before Suicide Squad 2, we may know Warner Bros. and DC Comics are putting focus to solo Dark Knight and The Joker projects.

This weekend, Variety writer Justin Kroll broke some major news for the DC Extended Universe – revealing that Will Smith’s commitments to the Aladdin remake and Gemini Man have him tied up the end of next year. He also cited at the very earliest that production for Suicide Squad 2 could be at the end of 2018, leaving a late 2019 window open for a theatrical rollout.

We’re not sure if Warner would actually drop this movie in an entirely different new decade, but we expect the filming to be fast-tracked. Let us know in the comments how you feel about DC Comics receiving more time to put together a proper presentation.
