Dave Chappelle Is BACK!
There hasn’t been a stand-up special from Dave Chappelle since For What It’s Worth in 2004. Fans have been wanting to see a big return from Chappelle ever since he came out of “hiding.” The legendary comedian has been making his long-awaited way back into our lives over the past three years through various appearances in non-televised events.
Then in 2015, Dave made an surprise guest appearance in Spike Lee’s controversial film, Chi-Raq, which seemed to only be the beginning. So we hoped. After that went down, it was until back in November that he would reemerge and make his memorable hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
Later this month, our prayers will have finally been answered with Dave Chappelle’s new stand-up comedy special premieres on Netflix. Which features two never-before-seen specials straight out of his own personal comedy vault. They were shot on two separate occasions in April 2015 at Austin City Limits Live and March 2016 and that took place at the Hollywood Palladium.
