We were excited about HBO’s new original series The Deuce as soon as we saw the names that would appear on it and knowing the fact David Simon would be a part of it (he was formerly on The Wire). After releasing a teaser for the show a few weeks back, we get a better picture of what to expect when the series kicks off on September 10 at 9pm.
As you can see from the official trailer for the series, the show will certainly be all about sex, drugs and porn in the 1970’s. From the girls walking the streets, to the pimps, corrupt police force and the rise of the porn industry, it’ll make for a hell of a plot.
James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal and The Wire names like Method Man (who played Cheese on The Wire), Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (D’Angelo Barksdale), Gbenga Akinnagbe (Chris Partlow) and Chris Bauer (Frank Sobotka) will all be part of the show.
