2 Chainz Explains Real Topics on New Album, Collaborations & New Sound

We’ve been watching a lot of interviews leading up to Rap Or Go To the League, considering we’ve been anticipating the new 2 Chainz album.

One of the most in-depth interviews we watched has to be this For the Record joint with Rob Markman. The two spoke on some real topics that Tit talked about on the album and why he had to emphasize keeping it real on there. It’s not like he never does, but he’s been going through some shit recently, as well as the people around him. If he could motivate people through the music, those are his intentions. Plus, he can dabble in different lanes, since he has a Psychology degree, but sold weight. As much as he’s street, he has the intelligence to be a business man.

He also spoke on linking with Ariana Grande and how they ended up doing tracks together, what LeBron James‘ role on the effort was, and switching up his sound a bit than people would have expected on there. He also explained how the album title is an oxymoron but it’s about “black excellence.”

It’s a 40-minute video, but it’s mad interesting and insightful into Chainz’s psyche.
