2pac – Dear Mama (Original Version)

With Mother’s Day only two days away and recent passing of Afeni Shakur, many people have been coming out of the woodworks and dedicating songs to their own mothers. Not only that, but an old 2pac collaborator, DJ King Assassin, has released the original version of “Dear Mama,” which sounds a little more cluttered than the version we all know.

The OG cut features vocals from Yo-Yo and samples on the hook that aren’t heard on the album version, but the verses remained the same. The track was produced by Tupac, Tony Pizzaro and DJ King Assassin as opposed to Tony Pizarro, DF Master Tee and Moses on the version we all know.
