OnSMASH caught up with Clinton Sparks as he lets us GET FAMILAR.
So, I was told that some of ya’ll might be interested in what I am up to
& what I have to say in life, therefore I’m gon get ya’ll familiar!Well its 2008 & I’ve already got a years worth of business & work done &
its only top of March!Btw – can I just say I went to the movies w/ Kanye West in LA then
watched the superbowl w/ Jayz & Irv Gotti @ the 40/40 in Vegas in the
same week…now I’m not saying that to floss on ya’ll. I’m saying it
because its too surreal. Everyday I wake up grateful that I got an
invite to the party called life & that people like them consider me cool
enough to hang out with but it still trippy whenever I get a second to
actually soak in my life.
Anyhow, I just dropped a new record I wrote & produced titled “On 2 U”
Feat: myself, Pitbull & Fatman Scoop & when I say myself, I mean I am
actually the artist on the record….i love to create the WTF factor! We
debuted the record @ Body English in Las Vegas w/ a live performance w/
me & Pitbull..my boy Ray-J also came through & performed his new single
“Sexy can I” also my boys DJ Felli Fel & Mr. Fab were in attendance along
w/ Jason Giambi & David Wells. If u haven’t heard my record yet check it out @
myspace.com/djclintonsparks.I’m also working w/ my boy Jalen Rose (Former NBA player turned ESPN
correspondent) who has an artist he’s working with named Kristen..she’s
an r&b singer & I wrote & produced 2 records for her & YESSSSS finally
got the oppurtunity to work w/ some Awesome talent from my hometown…A
rapper called SEV w/ G.E.M.S worldwide who is very talented & another
rapper called L.T.As some of you may know by now, I have taken the Get Familiar movement
to Television & can now be seen every week on the E! Networks Daily Ten
show…I am the music correspondent & I am on every Tues live out in
L.A. & I talk about music news,the new albums dropping that day & I got
a Get Familiar section of the show where I get the world familiar w/ new
artist & bands. Oh wait a minute, hold everything……YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY CAUSE I’M COMING!!!!!
ANOTHER CLASSIC ON THE WAY!!!
For those of you that have been waiting for me to drop another mixtape
classic….Wait no more! I am putting the finishing touches on a Monster
Mixtape/Album (not to be confused w/ my real album dropping later) w/
all brand new exclusive records produced by myself. I got everyone on
the CD from Ludacris to Fabolous, D.Block, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Clipse,
Cassidy, Juelz Santana, Yung Joc, Kardinal Offishall, Guerilla Zoe, Bun.
B, Slim thug, Paul Wall, Young Buck, Common, Kweli, Pitbull, Fat Joe,
Consequence, Pharell, etc.etc. This is going to be the remedy for all
those mixtape fans fiending for a classic mixtape to make a Big deal
over! I’m waiting on a couple more artist to come through to finish it up…
Intro is crazy! Records are ridiculous! I will even be getting ya’ll familiar w/ a
couple new artist I’m working with like SEV & another artist called L.T.
both from my hometown….you guys that know me & my work know that I
don’t associate w/ wackness or put out trash so you know they must be
hot if I’m putting them on a CD w/ the caliber of artist I got on
here….I’m literally in my hotel room in Vegas rt now making another
record w/ Trey Songz that might make the mixtape but he’s saying he
wants on his album so we’ll see……Anyhow, I’m excited to finish this
mixtape extravaganza & for ya’ll to hear it & add to your collection.
Thanks to those magazine & website interviewers that have been asking me
“when are you gon drop another classic” & for the friends & supporters
that see me in the club or hit me on myspace asking the same…..I’m so
busy working out all these business deals, DJing in clubs all over the
world & producing new records. I already wrote & produced a record for
Beyonces new album, 2 records on ludacris new album, I did the title
track for Bun. B’s new album “2 Trill”….getting a lot of records off
in 2008…This mixtape will also help u get a little understanding of
the direction I’m taking in 2008, so please stay tuned because its
