Alicia Keys will release her first album since 2012 later this week with the forthcoming arrival of HERE. Just days after debuting her latest single, “Holy War,” A Keys is back today to unleash her new short film “The Gospel.” Keys debuted the video earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival, and she’s premiering it exclusively online through TIDAL.
The short film, directed by A.V. Rockwell, sees Keys putting in work from her home studio as she writes and records the songs from her upcoming album. It also features documentary style footage of New York City, highlighting a coming of age tale of Alicia Keys’ hometown through her eyes and the eyes of a small group of young people growing up in The Big Apple.
Alicia Keys’ HERE album is due out Friday, November 4.
