At one point in time, Ameriie was really the next up in R&B royalty. The singer had singles in the Billboard Hot 100 and looked poised to take over the game and be crowned one of the new queens of the genre. Unfortunately, that’s not how things turned out, but she’s still trying to make the best out of how things panned out. It has been seven years since she released In Love & War on Def Jam, but now that she’s independent, she can do what she wants when she wants without labels holding up her creativity. With her new found freedom, you will be hearing more from her.
Drive is the first EP that fans will receive from the singer this year, with another one coming in July. The only feature on this effort is Fabolous, who appears on “Every Time,” which was released back in 2012. The previously released “Out Loud” is also on there.
