Whenever the name Avant comes up, it automatically takes us back to the early 2000’s when this guy had the R&B game in a chokehold with multiple hits. We’d be shocked in young guns now know who he is, at this point, but he can still deliver that grown folks music. Case in point: “Special,” the new single from the upcoming VIII album due out this September. The crooner breaks down the beginnings of a relationship, where the two people are starting to fall for one another and everything is on cloud nine.
He’s saying it may not feel as great as getting married, having a baby or hitting the lottery, but it feels special. The lovers at heart should relate to the feeling.
