Up until last month, Baka was known as the guy Drake shouted out on numerous songs throughout these past few years. We haven’t heard much from the man himself, due to him being in jail for an extended period of time. With Drake’s OVO Sound label finally getting off the ground and bringing us a couple of major releases this year (see Majid Jordan, upcoming VFT6), the collective is finally ready to introduce Baka to the world and it’s done through his debut single “Whip.”
Produced by Murda Beatz (Migos, 2 Chainz, Rich The Kid), the debut cut is as dark as Baka image is, but a trap banger nonetheless and based on today’s sound is a perfect introduction to a up and coming artist. The music video for the single is directed by OVO Niko and matches the gritty sounds of the track, while Baka and the crew turn up from the inside of a club.
